Govinden Sheren is a Barrister called to the Bar of England and Wales at the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn and he is also admitted to practice at the Bar of Mauritius. Sheren is a tenant at the chambers of a previous Minister of Justice of Mauritius.
His practice focuses on real estate, employment, corporate law, cross border transactions and procurement law. He appears before all the Courts of Mauritius including the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in London.
Sheren has a special interest in the relations between Mauritius and Africa and he is responsible for the African Desk of KoVe Global LLP. He is a member of the Pan African Lawyer Union and is also a member of the Young International Council for Commercial Arbitration.
Apart from his professional duties, Sheren is actively involved in social work and beginning 2018, he has started a blog, namely, www.mauritiuscounsel.com (Mcounsel), to pursue his passion of writing with a purpose. Sheren also likes to travel and enjoys constructive human interaction.
