Anand Ayyappan Udayakumar is a double Post Graduate Degree holder in International Commercial Law from University College London, London, United Kingdom and Business Laws from National Law School of India University, Bangalore, India, and a gold medalist from his undergraduate law degree from Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai, India. He is licensed to practice law in India and has considerable experience in ad hoc and institutional arbitration. He has handled both contentious and non-contentious matters relating to corporate and commercial laws, civil litigation, intellectual property and dispute resolution (specifically arbitration and mediation) from common and civil law jurisdictions namely, United Kingdom, India, Belgium and Thailand.

Anand has been associated with the Association for International Arbitration, Belgium and has been influential in organizing the European Mediation Training for Practitioners of Justice (EMTPJ) programs in Brussels and Advanced Arbitration Training programs in Chennai. He has also published extensively on complex issues relating to arbitration with specific reference to Europe and Asia in international newsletters and law journals. He is Westlaw UK Advanced certified and diploma holder in intellectual property and cyber law.
