Geoffrey is a Chartered Engineer and a Chartered Arbitrator who also undertakes advisory work, adjudication, and Expert Determination. He has been a Special Referee in the High Court of the Isle of Man and is a Fellow of the Indian Council of Arbitration.
A Past-President of the Society of Construction Law and Past Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, he has been involved with ADR as an adjunct to his Practice as Senior Partner of BHA Cromwell House for over forty years. Before that, Geoffrey was trained as a marine engineer officer and then became concerned with guided weapons and later nuclear power research and development.
Geoffrey acts as party arbitrator or chairman and also may be an expert witness or an expert advisor for a tribunal. He is familiar with the procedure of ICC and of FIDIC as well as UNCITRAL rules for ad-hoc arbitration.
